Concept · scope under reviewThe person behind the work
Hi, I’m Ivan.
A software developer and ICT professional based in Kenya, with a background in the everyday work that software needs to support.
From solving everyday ICT problems to building software that makes a difference.
My route into software development began with the practical side of ICT: helping people get their hardware, software and networks working. That experience still shapes how I build. I start with the person using the system and the task they need to finish.
At KALRO, that perspective carries into Django and React applications, backend APIs and agricultural data workflows. My backend work on KALRO Selector connects with the need for location-aware agricultural recommendations. The National Farmers Dashboard brings the focus to farmer information, analytics and reporting.
Alongside that agricultural work, my portfolio includes Joseali Tours. Across these projects, I’m interested in the same thing: turning a real workflow into software that people can understand and use.
A career built through practice.
